My mother's work published again!

In the dutch" Dollhouse Nederland", magazine with her tutorial of making this sweater.

I think my mother is going to be very famouse.

My mother made the sweater, cap and jeans.

The lovely porcelein doll is made by Angelique, she sells them at fairs and she has a website:

She also has a very nice blog here, please take a look, you won't be dissapointed.

My mother really liked the nice comments on her needlework shop and want to thank all of you all, give you all the greetings and kisses back.

She wants to do something for you all and she is making a swaeter for a Give-Away.

When it is finneshed she will anounce it on my blog, and we have a little Give-Away party...so not yet.

Het Gouden Schaartje (The Golden Scissor)

I promised to show more mini's of my mum on this blog, so here is her sewingshop called "Het Gouden Schaartje".

She made this shop in a antiek case that normally holds a sewingmachine.

This is one of my favorite projects of her.

The photo's don't do justice.

It is way more nicer in real life.

What am i going to do in 2012?

First of all i wish you all a Happy and Healthy 2012 with lots of fun and mini making.

I wish all your dreams come true.

I thank you all for your sweet comments and support and woderfull gifts and all the eye-candy and tutorials on your blogs.

Do you have any Newyear's resolutions?

I do.

I am going to loose weight, i wanna loose 20 kilo.

I am not going to do some kind of "super" diet, i am going to skip snacking during the week and eat healthier and drink more water.

I also going to move more.....i will swim ones a week and will follow Zumba lessons on my WI almost every day.

I also finely going to finish what i started.

I have a lot of W.I.P (work in progres) projects wich i finely going to finish in this year.

Here are some:

This little house is screaming to be finished, it needs the rest of the kitchen and the room upstairs on the left.

I am not happy with the outside, it is way to shiny, so i will fix that and there is no toilet in this house, i am going to make a outside toilet.

I want to rise the whole house and make a little stairs in front and a garden around it.

There are still rooftiles to make and attach.

Another project: Beauty Angels

A beauty salon etalage in a roombox, needs more stuff in it.

This wicker basket has to be filled with old toys and memories for in my big dollshouse.

The hobbyroom corner does still have empty spaces.

and i have to make a rug for it.

My big dollhouse....it dont have to be finnished on the inside this year, but the outside must be finnished.

I am now working on the roof.

My needelwork:

I am making a rug for the diningroom of the big dollshouse, i started more then a year ago!

This year it have to be finnished.

I also started a 1:144 project what needs more furniture and details.

I have to make more clothes for my Country and Western store.

The letters are falling of, they are some kind of stickers and i am not happy with the name.

Any suggestions?

My latest addition, the babyshop....lots of things to do and stuff to make.

You see..I have lots to do.

I also starting with my mother on our hobby evenings again, ones a week.

Because my mothers hobbycorner is ready we are starting on another project, i don't know what it will be yet but i will anounce it as soon as we know.

What are your resolutions for 2012?

International Christmas Swap 2011

This is what Cristina Diego made for me, a wonderful decorated Christmas tree with real working light! and that's not all, she also made a lovely bowl full of Christmas sweets, abunch of flowers and she also included some nice old fashioned mode pictures (not on the photo). I feel so spoiled, thank you Cristina. I love it!

Because my photo is coming out blurry all the time, i don't know why, i borrowed Cristina's photo.

So you girls and some guys can see how much Cristina spoiled me.

This is what i made for Kaisa, i had so much fun making it.

I also received by mail(i know a blurry photo again)this crocheted wreath made by Carmen,
i joined her give-away and she made some extra prizes, so i was very lucky.

My Christmas roombox, your Christmas and more

This is a roombox i made years ago but i still love it, even my skills wore not that good back then it really have a cosy Christmas feeling.

The tree is made from pipe-cleeners and the lamps from a Bic pen with buttons and beads, the woodburner is made from old earrings and the cards are all having names and wishes from my family members.

I hope you all did have a lovely Christmas.

I did have a lovely but very busy time.

My family was at my place and i made luch and dinner for 9 people.

At Christmas eve i opened the Swap gift and the extra give-away prize i won, oh they are so lovely and i am so spoiled but more about that tomorrow. I first have to make better pictures of those, the pictures i made of my gifts are to blurry to publish.

Day 13 of the hobby corners of my mum and me

We worked the whole evening on just a (not working) bareau lamp and a pair of high heels.

I also painted the thing for holding pens etc.

It was made by little pieces of straw glued together, seen in on my earlier posts.

Day 12 of the corners, well we just made some beaded necklaces!

It was fun to do!

I turned a plastic thing in a plastic back for some of the wool,

Don't look at the mess under the sewing-machine!

I hung some paper with holes in it over the desk, now i need some tools the hang up.

and last but not least i finnished my Give -Away for my blog friends!

Because i have over 300 followers now.

Day 11 of the corners?

No, not really.

My mother is not feeling well, she has the flu.

I worked a little on my corner, i played a little with fimo.

I made some roses and stick them to these plastic plants.

That is an easier way to make climbing roses than the method with silk.

I also made the lids of the jars (from a Bic pen) and filled them with beads.

More jars with lids from fimo.

I hope my mother is feeling better soon.

Beterschap mam.

I see i have almost reached the 300 followers, welcome new ones.

Day 10 of the hobby-corners

No, we're not done.

There is still some thing to make for our hobby-corners.

This is what we made on our mother daughter evening:

Can you see what i added?

Yes, little spools of sewing thread!

Here are more of them, i see now that they are not standing straight.

I also made tree "glass" potts from a piece of a pen, still have to make the lids from fimo-clay and fill them with beads.

I also crochet a little bag for some wool.

I am not so happy with it, the holes are to big.

My mother made this plant.

and these two,

and this Hedera.

I also put a Hedera against the wall.

And a pot with some stakes, still have to make a rose to go in there.

The pots are lids saw in half.

Next week we are going to make desk lamps, i make roses and the lids of the potts and maybe more fimo things.

I also want to make a rug, so not finished at all!!

Some of you were already sad the project was finished, but we still have to add more bits and bobs.

So stay tuned.

I am already starting to paint the little shop i bought at the Arnhem Fair.

This is going to be a baby-shop.

This is just to show you what i am doing, first layer of paint is on.

I want to ad more color.

Oooh yes i know i am strange, i start so many projects at the same time.

I am also still working on my big dollshouse.

Day 9 of the hobby corners

Another evening with my mother working on our little hobby-corners.

Let me show you what we made:

I made a little sewing-box, with all kinds of stuf in it.

We both glued some handels on our drawers.

I started te glue some straws together, still need some paint on it to look like a pen-holders.

We both made some more balls of wool, this time with alarger piece of straw.

You see? a bit larger than we made before.

My mother painted a wooden thing and put some pieces of lace in it.

She made a stool (earlier this week) for her sewing table.

She filled a bead with pencils.

I made a bulletin board (earlier this week), needs some more stuff on it.

My mother wrapped up some wool in plastic.

She made a gorgious basket (earlier this week)and filled it with wool.

This is how her corner looks now, almost finnished.

This is how my corner looks now, i want to make a rug too and have a lot of empty space on the shelfs to fill.

and i have too make another basket for the wool.

Last weekend i was at the dollshouse fair in Arnhem and met some of my blogfriend, so lovely to see them in person.

I took my camera with me, but stupid me, i forgot to take pictures.

I bought two lovely little shops.

One is going to be a baby-shop and the other one i am not sure yet.

I am already started to paint the outside....oh i have to make some pictures to show you about the progress.

Day 8 of the hobby corners

We made tubes of paint in a little box and pens.

My mum knitted this vest and made the leather bag.

Look at the pens we made...they are so easy to make, they are just beads on a wire.

I made a couple more bols of wool/cotton.

I cut out some magazine covers from advertisement and made it into magazines.

Happy Birthday Mam

Today is my mams Birthday.

Lieve mama, van harte gefeliciteerd, nog vele gezonde en gelukkige jaren.

Een hele fijne dag, tot vanmiddag.

My mother is the youngest of tree sisters and mother of tree girls, i am the oldest.

Sinds i infected her with the miniature virus, it is her greatest hobby.

She is making something for the dollshouse every day.

She is already retired so she has a lot of time to do that, resulting in a lot of houses and projects.

What she like most is knitting in miniature and making dolls from fimo.

Here are some examples of her work.

She made a replica of the drawing made by Anton Pieck.

A lot of our family photo's are in there and she made the dolls and almost everything in there.

The picture on the leftside is her wedding picture.

This drawing is what inspired her.

Day 7 of the corners, i made a box for my bundles of wool and the chairs are ready!

Day 7, another nice evening of crafting with my mother, this is what wa have done:

I made a box/basket for the bundles.

I made a litle piece of crochet to go in there as well.

I am very proud of the result.

This clothespin is normaly to hang your Christmas card on a string.

In my corner it holds some dollshouse pictures.

In my mums corner it hold some patterns.

We also winded some tread on cards.

Yes our chairs are ready, mine ....

and my mums chair.

Here is where i put my threads, in a clear box that first was to hold the chewing gum.

I see on the picture there need some more of the blue foil rubbed of.

In the back you see a little roombox i made earlier.

My computer was doing okay after a Windows update, but acting strange again now, same problem again.

Day 6 of the corners,a little tutorial, a lampout of beads and help!!

We are busy making a chair, still needs to finish it up.

and we made some more bundles of wool.

For those who don't know how you make bundels of wool here's how we didi it:

First take a big straw ( the ones who comes with milkshakes) and cut it in pieces, as big as you want your bundles to be.

Than take a needle and thread, we used embroidery thread but you can use whatever you want.

Start winding the thread around the straw by going in one whole end , going out the other whole end.

Do this till you're bundle is big enough and than cut it of.

You don't have to use glue, it will stay like this by itself.

You can finish it of with a lable, made out of paper.

I also made a lamp out of beads and wire for the girlsroom of my big dollshouse.

Maybe you wandering why you did't see me for a while.

I am having some problems with my laptop.

If i want to type some texts my laptop is acting really strange.

If i type a t i get a new tab and if i type a p it wants to print and more of this things.

The only way i can type a letter is by typing ctrl and then one letter and then ctrl and type the other letter.

I don't know how i can fix that.

Has anyone of you had this roblem before?

I am now using my man's computer posting this post.

Summer Swap

I was a member of the Summer- Swap hosted by Catarina of de lovely blog Le Mini's de Cockerina.

It was so much fun and i am so very spoiled.

Valeria from the lovely blog Pivva made this gorgious picknick table for me.

Everything on it you could wish for a lovely picknic in the sun.

Bread, sandwiches cheese, salami, another sort of sausages on a string, a healthy salade in a lovely wooden bowl and even little bottles of Coca Cola.

There is even a knife to cut the salami.

Salade with eggs and tomato and yellow peppers.

Mmmmmmm

Last week we went to Railz in Rotterdam.

Thats a very big indoor miniature railroad with houses and scenes where they made Rotterdam in miniature.

As a miniature lover i took pictures of the scenes, not so many trains on my pictures...hahaha

I made a trunk

I made a trunk in the same technic i showed you earlier.

Now i want to fill it.

Maybe with old toys or other vintage stuff.

I don't know yet.

I will put it in my big dollshouse.

Tiles on and tiles of.

I glued some tiles on, it was a real mozaik tiles.

But every tile was not the same size.

I was not happy with it,

so i have to take of.

You see, it is not right and not nice.

So i did take it of again.

It was a bit difficult to take the glue of, i had to do it with sandpaper.

Day 5 of the corners / wicker baskets tutorial.

We made a basket, only one each.

Let me show you how we did it:

First you need a piece of sticky florist tape.

I did cut a piece 50 cm and cut that piece lenghtwise in tree pieces.

Wrap that around a florist wire of 7mm.

Saw a circle from thin wood and dril holes in it not to far apart from eachother, make sure it is an uneven number.

Cut the wire a bit longer than you want your basket to be.

Glue the wire in the holes.

Weave small rope or cotton tread around the wire.

If you want your basket to be wider on top bent it before weaving.

Finish of by making handels from a piece of rope or not and make a braid to decorate the top and hide the wood on the bottom.

We used tacky glue because that doesn't make stains when dryed.

On the picture the glue is still wet.

A lot of work, but they turned out pretty cute, don't you think?

Day 4 of the corners/ wooden beads and more

Oke, i let you wait for the results of last wednesday, because i had a litlle party.

Look here what we did.

My mother wanted her bureau a bit higher, because she had a gorgious sewing table she wanted to put in her corner.

She glued 6 wooden beads under it, now it has the good hight.

This is the sewingtable, isn't it gorgious.

No she didn't made it, but she bought it at a car boot sale a while ago.

The rug she made during last week.

It is knotted and then the dreads are cut smaller.

She also knitted this vest and skirt last week.

I love the buttons she used.

You can see my mother had more time.

She is not working anymore.

I did nothing last week, well not making miniatures, i did a lot but no time for making mini's.

I am so happy my mother comes on wednesday evening, so i have to make time for mini's.

I love our evenings together.

This is what i did with beads.

I took 4 beads.

I sawed a square to go on top and tadaaaa! I made a stool.

Then i first painted the top bleu and crocheted acover for the top.

I crocheted a granny square and when the square was as big as the top i crocheted in round.

Oke that was all folks.

Day 3 of the corners/ making a desk

Making a desk from ....

Matchboxes

First take 3 little matchboxes who are the same size.

Cut a them a little smaller.

I made them 3 cm.

Measure the outside and the inside of the matchboxes.

When you draw the line.

like this

You can cut it with a scissor.

Now you have 3 little drawers and 3 bigger drawers.

The smal drawers, i glued together, side by side.

Then i put a piece of carton on top and on the bottom of these.

To let dry the glue, i used clothespins.

Then i glued the 3 bigger drawers on top of eachother (not on the photo).

Then i saw two pieces of wood, one for the top and one for the side of the desk.

Take a piece of carton the same size of the side of the big drawers.

Glue it on.

Give every thing a coat of blue paint.

If it is painted the carton and the matchboxes and the wood look the same.

My mother gave it an vanilla-cream color first and over that a coat of waterdowned green.

Her desk is a little different then mine.

Not only the color but her drawers are on the other side and she has two drawers on top.

And this is the result so far.

I also gave a little white wash to the paint, making it look a little more older and softer.

I did this by using a dry brush with a little bit of white paint.

Now we have to fill the drawers.

My mother did knit a little doll during last week, to go in her corner.

Isn't it a cuteeeee!

Day 3 of the corners/ filling the racks

A couple of years ago a nice lady gave me her leftovers from quilting, now they come in handy.

They all have diffrent colors and paterns.

We have roughly measured how big the piles of fabric were to be.

Cut some carton in that size.

Folded and glued the fabric around the carton.( with Tacky Glue)

Than i printed some free prints from a blog i can not remember, sorry.

If you recognize your prints please let me know so i can put the name of your blog here.

We glued some paper inside to look like pages of the book.

That is all we did.

Not much this time, but we filled a couple of planks.

Both in our own way.

This one is from my mother.

and this one is mine.

We still need lots of stuf to make to fil up the shelves, but it begins to look oke.

Meanwhile i am still working on my big house.

I will post the progress of that so you don't have to wait till next week for blogpost.

Some snacks for my birthday.

Mmmm Duth cheese with mandarine, cucumber, pickels with salami and cheese with a green olive on top.

All is made by me from fimo with a real wooden spike laying on a glass bead that looks like a serving plate.

Day 2 of the corners

First thing we did today was sanding all the wood and file the ends of the floor for a neat finnish.

Then we stained the floors and also give the edges a second layer of stain.

The ice sticks look now more like a wooden floor, still see some spots that need some touch with the brush.

My mother asked for the empty racks that holds the toothbrushes in the store.

It is from white plastic.

The removed the paper with the brand name.

I had some colored wood sticks, i bought last year for only 1euro.

We have them cut to size.

So they fit between the gaps.

Then painted them in a nice color.

Hey look we both suddenly had a painted thum.

First when we started to paint, it looks like the paint not stick to the plastic.

But the second layer was well.

Meanwhile we wallpapered the inside and the outside.

I will make a picture in daylight so you can see the details of the wallpaper.

The racks now painted a second time.

Blue and green.

My mother did the green one and i the blue one.

Now it's time to clean up the mess.

Day 1 of the Corners/ The beginning

Like i told you in the previous post, this is the new project of my mum and me.

We are going to work on it ones a week.

This is how we bought them at the fair.

Already nice rounded corners.

Very smooth wood, so it needs no sanding to begin.

First layer of stain is on.

We don't have to be neat, because the floor and the wallpaper is coming over it.

Little coffee braek.

I almost dipped my paintbrush in the coffee.

We used waterbased stain.

In the color mahonie.

My mother is happy with the color, i am thinking of doing another layer so the color is a little bit deeper.

After our little coffee braek the stain is already a bit dry. ( on the tin it says dry after 4 ours, but we have no patiens) We begin with the floor.

For the floor we used ice cream sticks,

I had left over from other projects.

Most sticks i bought years ago at a hobby-shop, a couple are from ice scream.

I know: i keep to much stuff, but now they come in handy!

First we looked if we had enough for two floors.

Then we cut of the rounded parts with a large scissor.

The colors are different, but that only ads caracter.

We still have to sand and stain them but that's for next week.

New purchases and new project

Long time sinds my last blogpost here, because i only did put a part of my roof-tiles of my big dollshouse and a part of a bedspread that i crocheted and was not happy with.

So i had nothing to show you, but in the meantime i looked a lot at all your lovely blogs.

Today i do have something to show you.

I went last saterday at a miniature fair in the dollshouseshop "Mini-Wonders" in Wormerveer with my mother.

I bought some lovely miniatures and we had a lovely time.

This is what i bought:

I also bought tree fimo-canes, one with a bear and one with a butterfly and one with a dragonfly, but they are so tiny that it's hard to make a good photo.

My mother and i also bought a woden corner to make a scene in.

Ones a week my mother and i have a craft-night and we have decided

To make a new project were we make the same thing, ofcourse in our own version.

So we both bought the same woden corner.

We are going to make a hobby room/ atelier.

We only work on it on our craft-night and eveything in it we have to make ourselves...the only thing is maybe a scisser or a tool we already have.

So we don't gonna buy things for it.

I am gonna make a lot of photo's of how we make the things and try to explane how we didi it.

I think it's nice for the beginners out there to see how you can do this hobby without braking the bank.

Maybe i can share some tips with the more experienced also.

I would love to here about your tips, so feel free to write me comments....I love them! :)

Queensday Purchases

Today was Queensday in Holland.

In Holland we celebrate this with lots of party's and music everywhere but also fleamarkets in a lot of streets. Everybody is alowed to sell there stuff on the streets today.

We went this year not to sell but to buy.

This is what i bought today.

A whole box of buttons.

A lot of nice miniatures.

A shadowbox, i will make something else in.

A small tin in the form of a house.

The inside is also nice.

And now a closer look to the miniatures i showed you in the picture before.

I am so happy!

I bought also these books, the first is a scary cook book for my son.

The second is a book about making memory boxes and the third is a book about drawing and painting.

I also bought a old brown suitcase but the picture was to bad.

I did not spend much on these lovely items and we had lots of fun today.

It was a busy week for me.

I redecorated my sons room.

It was the first time fot me to wallpaper in full size.

Still have to put together his new wardrobe.

He is almost 10.

His birthday is monday and i gave him a new room and he is so happy he have a teenage room now.

I hope he keeps it need and tidy now.

As promised, today is the draw of my crochetet blanket.

I asked my doll I have since my youth I (seventies) for assistance and she found it agreat honor to be here to participate to help.

She is bigger than 1:12 but samaller than Barbie(1:6), she is the same hight as Daisy..a doll I have also...well enough about her lets come to business.

First i wrote all your names on a paper and cut it into small strips.

Then i folded them and put them in a bowl and shaked them real good.

Now my doll (i don't remember her real name so lets call her Donna) has chosen one paper.

I spoiled myself today!

Today i went to a miniature fair in Rijswijk and i bought very nice things, you can say i spoiled myself.

A lot of nice goodies.

A modern step, a ladder, a metal rack, some flowerpots and in front a cookie tin to decorate and some tray's.

Two more flowerpots, a side table, a mirrorcabinet, some toys and two plastic storage bins.

A fireplace with light in it and a little house.

A book by Angie Scarr about making miniature food wuth a dvd, a writing desk and another book with an angel on the cover to decorate the insite (a box )

A modern chair.

A drainer with dishes and the gold thing in the back is a empty pocket watch to decorate.

The little toys again, a piggy an tiny teddy.

Two bottles of wine in a winestand, two buckets an two bunnies.

A garden water-thing...i don't know how you call it and a tub, both for in the flowershop.

A whole bunch of leaves.

You see i really spoiled myself.

I did have a lovely day with lots of inspiration at the fair.

For some unknown reason they removed the playground at the hal in Rijswijk, so my son was very dissapointed at first, but there was also a stone and miniral market at the same place and he liked that a lot.

He bought some shark teeth and a couple of stones.

Boy with skatedoard.

Look at this funny little boy playing with his skateboard.

He is made by my mother specially for me.

She made him out of Fimo and dressed him in jeans and knitted a sweater for him.

He is wearing leather sandals.

The only thing she bought (in the toyshop) is his skateboard.

My mum likes too make dolls very much.

I think she makes a doll a day.

I infected her with the Dollshouse/Miniatures Virus a couple of years ago.

She is retired and has a lot of time to make mini's (a lot more time than me).

She has a canalhouse, cafe with upstairs living, a little candyshop, a wool and sewing shop in a sewingmachine- case, a serre, a whole fancy-fair,a leathershop with lots of bags in it in a leather bag, a clockshop in a clockcase and many more...

I remember when she started..

She wanted to buy a big dollshouse to fill (her canalhouse) .

She told me:" I want a big house so i only have one house and stick with one house or project."

I said to her... "No mum, we shall see, if this house is full you are hoked and you sure want more.

She didn't believe me at that time, but i was right, see now is totally hooked on making miniatures."

She specially likes too knit and make dolls.

Ones a week she comes too my house in the evening and we are making a project together or just chat about our mini-ideas.

I feel so lucky that we now share the same hobby and i am very glad i infected her.

He seems to have a lot of fun with his skateboard.

When i opened the package, i found 5 smaller packages and a lot of chocolates.

Ofcourse i first tryed a chocolate before i opened the little presents.

Today i show you the upatairs of the little grey house.

On the right site is a bedroom.

Still have to fix the lampshade to it's base.

The base is standing on the drawer.

That tray on the bed needs a nice breakfast.

The sink needs plumbing.

The mirrorcabinet is a pilbox.

I have to finish all the windows icluding this one and maybe a curtan would be nice.

(you never know who is watching)

The towels are still on the floor, they need a towelrack.

The buity-case i made from real leather.

The insite is already full.

The room on the left, still have bare floors.

and bare everything, exept the walls.

Unfinished projects part1

I am working on the big dollshouse as you maybe already know, but i have also a couple of unfinished projects and this little house is one of them.

See, the roof is not finnished and i am not to sure about the deco, i think it needs a bit of wear.

I want to make a base for the house and maybe lift it up a bit, so i can make a little two step stairs in front of the porche.

I also want to make a garden around it and lots of climbing plants.

These flowers a made from silk.

The entrance need a housenumber, and maybe i'll sand the shutters a bit, they look to clean.

A peek into the livingroom.

The coutch i made myself and the cussions i ebroiderd, still need to make a little bird on the cage.

The piedestal is a repainted plastic cake decoration.

The frame i made from plaster, my mum has a mold.

You see, still needs a lot of work, on the left downstairs, i wanna make the kichen.

Hey, naugty puppy!! Stay of the table.

The other puppy is sleeping.

The other side of the room, a vintage clock.

In the corner a chest with drawers(painted plastic) and the television and radio with shelves above.....still need to fill them.

Above the intrance to the kitchen i did some glaspainting.

In the kitchen is the mother of the puppies with one of her puppies in a basket i made.

I know i am very late with that but that's because i was not blogging for a while.

So i also have some catching up to do.

I was participating at the Christmas Swap hosted by Catarina.

My Swap partner was Lisette and this is what she made for me:

She made some lovely mini's and as a bonus she gave me this Lucky Santa.

Let me translate what's on the card:

The bonequinas are made in Braziel.

If you wear one on your haert it gave you health.

With a bonequina in your wallet you spend less money.

In the car he offers protection.

And.....if you have a bonequina in your pocket, you receive lots of passion.

Mmmmm, now i don't know where i want to put him.

So he is protecting my dollshouse at the moment.

She made this lovely autumn wreath

and very beautifull wooden toys .

The doll really has movable arms and legs!

I am so lucky to have her as a swappartner, she really spoild me.

Here my little girl is holding the tiny snowman.

and my other girl is playing with the pig on wheels.

I made some mini's for Rosamarie

and she was happy with them,she wrote about them on her blog.

Yesterday i bought at our local flea market this lovely teddybear, he is to big for the dollshouse but i still wanted to show him.

Isn't he cute?

I love his inperfections.

I think he is old,but i am not sure.

He is now sitting with his friend at the bookshelf.

Last week i went to a dollshouse fair in Rijswijk and i bought this modern design chair.

Perfect for one of the boys rooms, i want to make a corner desk to compleet the room.

I also bought a lot of stuffed animals, these two cuties.

And a couple more.

Yes and look my bedspread is finnished.

If you look good you see that one of the drawers in the bed is open, i want to fill this with a lot of toys.

I laminated the floor in one of the hallways

and in the boysroom

and in the other boysroom

in the girlsroom

all with this same laminate, it is the stuff you normally iron on the side of a planchet.

I only cut it in 1:12 size strips and ironed it on the mini floors.

The color is called in Dutch: Beuken

I think i did a good job.

It is looking like a modern floor to me, what do you think of it?

Today is finally the day that i am alowed to open my Holliday Swap gift from Monika.

Mmm what should be in it, i am so exited.

A lot of wonderfull miniatures,

everything you need on a long walking trip.

A backpack, walking shoes, walking stick, a book of Saalburg, baquet, fruit on a plate, dessert, a napkin, a paper bag and a flower.

So very beautifull and handmade.

Holliday Swap

The unwrapping of the Holliday Swap's hosted by Caterina is pursponed till friday 16th,

Two days (swap holliday trip) in Amsterdam

I take Karin for a two day(virtual) trip to Amsterdam.

From Rotterdam (Where i live) to Amsterdam it is only one our by train.

We arive at Central Station.

The outsite of Central station is a very beautifull building.

The best way to see a lot of the center of Amsterdam is to go by bike.

Its very nice weather at the moment,so the bike would be very cool...hahaha.

But we go by the tram.

Its only a couple of stops to the nine streets..a very nice shopping area, with lots of nice smal shops.

After shopping we take a canel cruise, the best way to see the canel houses, tipical for Amsterdam.

Next day we start very early..9 in the morning.

We go to the monday market...my favorite market in Amsterdam.

You have there a part with new stuf and a lot of fabrics,and you have a second hand part..where you can find al sorts of second hand stuf..clotches, brocante antiques etc.

For lunch we eat Hearing, called zoute haring or Hollandsche Nieuwe.

MMMmmm i hope you like it too,i think it is tipacal Dutch.

In Rotterdam people eat it lake this...take the fish by its tale and bite , this is how my man does it.

But i like to eat it the Amsterdam way...in pieces with pickels and onions.

Than we go to the Vondel park to rest a little and enjoy the nature.

Walking true the park on the other end of it there is the ....

Rijks museum.

Here we can see lots of art, but also a couple of nice old Dollshouses.

It is already late when we come out of the museum, so much to see there.

We go walk a little in the city to find a nice restaurant for dinner.

The bathroom.

Yes also the man in the house have to shower, he is a rubber doll my mother bought but his ... is made of fimo.

I made it for her and we have a laugh about it.

He even has real hair.

The bath is made of a package and painted white.

Two is sometimes better then one.
This carpet i made for her in petit point,with matching pillow.
All in the color of the babyroom she made.

The baby in the crib, in a suit my mother knitted.

This boy is playing with his trains.

He is from porcelain and also with clothes my mother made.

The girl also dressed by mum is also from porcelain.

The girl behind the sewing machine is also porcelain and dressed by mummy.

The top of the house is rented by students.

She is so lazy laying on the coutch the whole day.

She has a lot of shops and other small projects and even a fancy fair.

Today i wanna show you some of the miniutures of my mum.I infected my mum with the dollshouse-virus.

This is her first house,a canal house typical for Amsterdam.

When she bought the house, she told me:

I buy a larg house, so i am busy with it a lot of years.

And i only buy one house.

I told her that i don't believe her.

Well.......she was finished with this house in a couple of months and a she made a lot of projects after that.

Now i have to name 7 things about myself that nobody knows.

That is very difficult, because some persons in my life knows everything about me.

This past weeks , i only painted the seilings of my big dollshouse.

So i didn't make pictures of that.

I show you some pictures of a western shop, i made a couple of years ago.

It still need to make some dresses and jackets and other bits.

What i did last weeks on the big dollshouse

On the left-side of the house is now a balcony.

I put some woodsies on the top and bothem of the windows.

It still need some ornaments on top of the windows.

On the right bottom is the flowershop called DE BLOEM what is dutch for The flower.

I painted the cubboard craem on the outside and pink on the inside,i think the pink is too bright.

Maybe i paint it over in a softer shade.

What do you think?

I sew a bedspread for the boysroom.

I made this lamp for the flowershop (still has too paint the electric cord),by painting the inside of a filigrane bead with glasspaint.
